Stepping Out

I looked out the window this morning.

It was the most beautiful sunrise I could ever remember seeing.

Grasping the camera, I went to the window, knowing beforehand that capturing the best image would be impossible from where I stood.

So, I opened the window.  Then the storm window.

I took a deep breath, hoisted one leg out, then the other.

Another deep breath.

standing two feet on the porch roof, I held the camera up.  No, that would not quite do.

I took another step out to the middle.
