Answering the Big Questions

For Bob, if you choose to read it.  Or not.

so you ask me the big questions
like, “what is your purpose in life”

and for now, it is to
feel cold spumoni on my teeth and tongue
feel these fingers making keystrokes
one after another
listen to stirring in the next room
be aware of the incessant hissing in my ears
admire the light from humphrey’s eye

so you ask me the big questions
like, “what is the meaning…”

and for now it is to
know that I am here
and you are there
and we can know that
and notice how good it is

do we need any more meaning than that?
