Tenacity

Today was everything you might not enjoy in an Ohio winter day.

In spite of the fact that most of the oak leaves have come down in Westgate Park, there are still a few that stubbornly hang on, even in the face of a blustery day like today.

And looking at those leaves, thoughts materialized about other things that just hang on. Isn’t tenacity a wonderful quality?  Then why these feelings?

There’s the waiting for those oak leaves to come down today.  Has Gibraltar crumbled yet?

Tomorrow they’ll still be hanging on, won’t they?

So, help me to be proud of the tenacious leaves.
