Living In the Moment

Inspiration can come in all sorts of ways, and sometimes suddenly.

Red Hot Chili Peppers–Can’t Stop

Good song.  Really good video.

Much of the visual content is inspired by the work of Erwin Wurm.

A quote from him:

“I am interested in the everyday life. All the materials that surrounded me could be useful, as well as the objects, topics involved in contemporary society. My work speaks about the whole entity of a human being: the physical, the spiritual, the psychological and the political.”

And the Strange Bird inspiration for the moment?  Maybe a copy, but at very least a moment of exploration.

one minute one

one minute two

one minute three

Now, I am beginning to think about things on several different levels…

First, the surface structure of what these three photographs could communicate.

Next, some of the possible interpretations from the life on the other side of the lens, and the lives of people who may view it.

And…the influence of Wurm, and what his own philosophy grew from.

You might think of some other levels as well…like…

“He might dust that window sill once in a while!”

After all, no need to always take things so seriously, is there?

Be well, and at peace,

Phil
