In Between the Drops

What’s one thing a photographer can do on a rainy day?

This.

It sure wasn’t easy, getting the camera focused on the raindrops, instead of the picture!  What a fascinating thought, to intentionally focus on that which obscures…to do so creates quite a distortion, doesn’t it?

And yet, to do so sometimes reveals patterns that otherwise go unnoticed.  What a paradox!  Patterns in the foreground as well as in the background. Sometimes really looking at something prevents us from seeing the big picture!  It can be better to blur things out a bit, and just notice what pops up.
