When the time is right…

img_1929

A couple of years ago, we had an early warm spell, followed by ice.  The magnolia got ahead of itself, and the result was a tree full of brown, shriveled blossoms on Easter.

Don’t get ahead of yourself.  Give it time.

Last night after a wonderful dinner with our friend Suzy at Nida’s, we walked two doors down to ZenCha for tea and cookies.  Our server gave very specific directions for the three different kinds of tea that we ordered, how each one needed its own time to steep perfectly.  Mine was Sencha Cherry Blossom.  Delicious!

Give it time.

So I am learning the delicate art of steeping just long enough for the brew to be delicious.  Not long enough, and it’s weak.  Too long, and it’s bitter.

Give it time.

Be well, and at peace,
