Clean Out the Pipes

img_3881

Clean out the pipes, mate, they's full o' dust n' whatnot...

What do YOU do when your feelin’ like things are a little dusty, or rusty, or clogged, or something like that?

Maybe you write.  Or draw.  Take a picture.  Or paint one.  Bake some cookies?  Mmm, invite me over if you do! Plant some flowers?  Well it’s a bit early to do that, now, isn’t it?  But of course, there’s no harm in dreaming.

I need to find something.  Maybe this is it.

Or maybe I just need to sit here and notice the dustiness, and be OK with that.

I don’t know…

It’s not so easy to be comfortable with the dustiness.  In fact, I feel quite uncomfortable with it.  Like J.S.’s hand frozen, poised above the cardboard clavichord, I sit here poised, waiting to play the next chord.

If it hurts your ears, I apologize in advance.  I’m still a student.

Lento Misterioso

Be well, and at peace,

Phil

  1. John Peters Says:

As Quentin Crisp said,” There was no need to do any housework at all. After the first four years the dirt doesn’t get any worse” (‘The Naked Civil Servant’)
Do you think the same applies to our internal debris? Or is that just wishful thinking?
