A Prayer for Today

Lord, teach me to seek you, and reveal yourself to me when I seek You.

For I cannot seek you unless you first teach me, nor find you, unless you first reveal yourself to me.

Let me seek you in longing, and long for you in seeking.

Let me find you in love, and love you in finding.

Amen.

St. Ambrose of Milan

(summer phlox in Frank Fetch Park–very fragrant)

Where is the learning today? In a classroom, or an office, or…

Where is the seeking? In a brick-paved path, or an asphalt-covered freeway, or…

Where is the revelation? In a fragrant flower, or the face of a curious child?

And where will the finding be…you may know, or not…

Be well, and at peace,

Phil
