Turning Towards the Sun

Today, these caught my eye at The Andersons:

Perhaps they remind you of this, now…

Van Gogh: Still Life

Van Gogh studied sunflowers a lot. At every stage. First growth, the forming of buds, blooms expanding, pointing towards the sun, eventual drying, crumbling edges, and finally death. What can we learn now by spending some time with the sunflower, about the transience of existence?

And then, there is William Blake’s take on the sunflower:

Blake: Ah Sunflower

And you can wonder now…does the sunflower really seek?

Sun Stalkers

Let’s see what we can learn from the sunflower now...

…you may be surprised!

Be well, and at peace,

Phil
