Down On the Farm!

This afternoon we took a drive down highway 157 a couple of miles to a place known as “Barrack’s Corners.”  All that remains at “Barrack’s Corners” is the old brick schoolhouse, which has been converted into a lovely home, and a plot of land owned by Doris and Ray, known as “the farm.”

Several years ago, Ray built a teeny tiny house on this plot of land.  It’s charming!

We thought we might have ended up sleeping out at the farm, in the teeny tiny house, “with the crickets and the coyotes,” as I say, but Doris thought it better to accommodate us “where the food is.”  I’m fine with that!

And of course, no farm would be complete without crops.  Ours for the day are tomatoes and chili peppers.

And, there is nothing like an expansive view of green in the country to open your heart, now…

I hope that you just now took a moment, and a deep breath…

So, the view will be very different tomorrow!  Chicago, here we come!

Be well, and at peace,

Phil
