As Ken McLeod says in Wake Up To Your Life,
“Sometimes it is better to go through the back door and elicit the appropriate effort while avoiding the confusion often generated by a set of explicit instructions.”
I have always been a back door sort of guy. I think. Well, maybe sometimes…anyway, it works for now.
And here is the set of instructions for meditation that Ken learned from the traditions of Tibet:
Body like a mountain.
Breath like the wind.
Mind like the sky.
It worked just fine for me this morning. You know, Rubin knows all about going in through the back door! He’s very good at it, and even the squeaky screen door doesn’t stop him…
Be well and at peace.
